Biography: Kathleen has been managing and growing businesses since 1983. Starting with Philadelphia Auto Electric on Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia, which specialized in the rebuild of electric motors. She was part owner and handled all business operations. Seeing a need for community involvement, she expanded the facility to include a small onsite ice cream shop “The Bus Stop” to service the local community at heavily discounted prices. Upon sale of the business in 1989, Kathy relocated to Florida where she began investing in real estate development. In 1996 Kathy became a partner in Proposal Services, Inc with her husband Paul Flaherty, where she handled all business operations. Together they built the company into a multimillion-dollar consulting firm with 25 employees specializing in assisting clients to win and operate US Federal Government contracts. To date, CSI has assisted companies to win and operate over $3.5 Billion in contracts over 21 years of operation. CSI also specializes in the identification of new challenges facing Federal Government contractors, forming joint ventures to explore solutions for those challenges. In March 2013, Kathleen formed Anvil Rock, Inc. for the purpose of the acquisition of certain assets of Back Country Driving School (BCDS), Anvil Rock continues to support Federal Government and commercial customers in fleet management, leasing, vehicle modification & maintenance, as well as security and driver safety training. In December 2015, Anvil Rock formed a Joint Venture with IBS, LLC of Washington DC to establish Endela Logistics in order to service the Aid & Humanitarian Development marketplace. Anvil Rock and Endela are Woman Owned Small Business Concerns.
